Less than a Week

We are one week out from our trip to Arusha. KOPI appreciates all of the public support we received this summer. You showed up, got tattooed,  and donated your time and money to a very good cause.  Your support in conjunction with a generous gifts from Stryker and Blackend Tattoo Atelier has covered 100% of The Arusha Project - Phase One program costs. It will also keep us in business through December 2020.

Our volunteers self-support their travel and we are lucky to have some incredibly talented people joining us this year. Here is The Arusha Project 2019 Team:

Monicah G., Registered Nurse
Erin H., Therapist
Rebecca J., Social Worker
Christine K., Psychiatric Technician
Nathan K., RN, Paramedic
Josh O., Paramedic

We will spend a little over two weeks training police officers, doctors, nurses, and support staff in prehospital emergency medicine and mental health. A huge part of this project is about looking toward the future and finding ways to continue our effort.  KOPI is already beginning to shape Phase Two.

We will be posting regularly on our Facebook page and blog during our trip. We’d love for you to follow along.
